Project DNA

We can’t change your family history, but we can change your family’s future.

1 out of 50 people have a hereditary cancer syndrome that can put them at up to an 80 percent chance of getting cancer. If you have a personal history of Colon, Uterine, Breast, Ovarian, or Pancreatic cancer talk to your health care provider and see if you should get screened.

Dedicated to creating programs to systematically screen, identify and enable physicians to take proactive responsibility for their patients with hereditary cancer syndromes.

Hereditary cancer syndromes are not rare. One in forty Ashkenazi Jewish people have the BRCA gene and 10% have an increased risk of colon cancer.

About Project DNA

Improve your family’s future through insight into its past. Families affected with hereditary cancer syndromes are at high risk for developing multiple cancers at an early age. These cancers can have devastating effects on families.

The good news is that with appropriate screening, many of these cancers can be prevented. Unfortunately, physicians and patients have not been adequately educated about these syndromes and as a result, many families are not diagnosed.

Project DNA was designed to create simple but effective tools to help facilitate diagnosis, and provide educational materials that allow physicians and patients to develop appropriate screening programs.
